Will Burke serves currently as a Director for the ASA – New Mexico Chapter. He is a Senior Vice President at Burke Insurance Group, a division of Risk Strategies Company where he specializes in construction insurance and contract surety. He received his BA from the University of Denver and proudly served in the United States Navy for five years. Along with being actively involved in ASA affairs, Will is the Vice President of El Paso’s CFMA chapter and is a member of the National Association of Surety Bond Producers.
Sheila Ohrenberg

Sheila Ohrenberg is the President of Sorella Group, Inc. She is responsible for providing the vision and strategic direction of the company, maintaining and reinforcing the company culture, leading the team, and overseeing decisions regarding the organization’s future growth.
Since starting Sorella Group, Ms. Ohrenberg has led her team in ensuring on-time delivery of high quality construction projects. She has done so while working collaboratively with team leaders to build lasting relationships with clients, partners, and the community. Under Ms. Ohrenberg’s leadership, Sorella Group Inc. has diversified its portfolio of work to include specialty and interior finishes for high-profile projects in the commercial, education, healthcare, military, and science and technology sectors.
With her leadership and hands-on management style, Sorella Group Inc. has earned recognitions and awards, including the”2020 Outstanding Women in Construction, US Army Corps of Engineers “Building Achievement”, Associated Builders and Contractors Step Program Safety Awards and Kansas Women-Owned Construction Company of the year in 2013 and 2018.
Ms. Ohrenberg has also served on many boards and executive committees to support important community and social organizations. These include the Workforce Development City of Kansas City, Missouri. Habitat for Humanity Restore, Minority Coalition, National President Women Construction Owners and Executives, and Kansas City American Subcontractors Association.
John Leifester

John “Big John” Leifester has been dedicated to the art of commercial landscaping for the past 15 years. He is a Certified Arborist (TX-3484A) and a Certified Landscape Professional TCLP-0692 from the Texas Nursery and Landscape Association. John values community outreach and is an active Director for the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo serving as Chairman of the Grounds & Credentials Committee. John is an advocate for the construction industry and served as President of the American Subcontractor’s Association from 2019-2020. John will graduate from the Governor Dolph Briscoe Texas Agriculture Lifetime Leadership program in June of 2022.
Jennifer Swinney, CBT, CDS, CIT

Jennifer Swinney currently serves as the Executive Director for the San Antonio Chapter of the American Subcontractors Association. Her background includes over 14 years of association management and leadership, including regional and national officer positions held with the National Association of Women in Construction. Jennifer entered the construction industry in 1999, serving as the accountant for a national construction safety company and volunteering for construction associations. In 2015, she made the leap to run the San Antonio ASA, and in the past 7 years the membership has more than doubled, making it the largest the chapter has ever been in its 40 year history, fundraising events are sold out with waiting lists, and membership enthusiasm is at all time high! Jennifer credits her board and the committee team for the success of the chapter, and for making her job “an absolute dream come true!”
Warren Quinn

Warren has had a diverse and accomplished career spanning multiple sectors, with a focus on executive leadership, organizational development, and association management. Beginning in the nursery and landscape industry, he transitioned to law before finding his niche in association management. Quinn spent nearly two decades as Chief of Staff for the American Nursery & Landscape Association, where he honed his skills in strategic planning, financial management, and member services. He later leveraged this experience to become an independent consultant and executive coach, offering leadership advisory services to closely-held companies. Throughout his career, Quinn has demonstrated expertise in organizational culture, strategic planning, and adult education, frequently speaking on these topics at industry events. His current roles include serving as the Executive Director for ASA of Baltimore and running his management consulting firm, reflecting his continued commitment to organizational leadership and industry engagement.

Tonya Schulte

Tonya Schulte is the owner of The Profit Constructors, a construction-centric accounting firm, the host of The Construction Junction podcast, and a board member of the American Subcontractors Association of Arizona. At the 2023 ASA national SUBExcel awards banquet, she received the Outstanding Service award for 2022-2023. Her entire career (beginning when she was still in high school) has been in the construction accounting industry. For fun, she travels, rides in the gondolas of hot-air balloons, enjoys big-name amusement parks, reads, cooks, crochets, writes, and either swims or dangles her feet in the pool. She is happily married to her partner and friend, Joe, and is the proud Mama of three of the world’s most amazing (according to her) children. They range in age from 10 to 18. Her favorite word is “chocolate,” and while she can’t be bribed, she gladly accepts all chocolate donations.

Tony Vermaas has been President/CEO and CFO for the Sobie Company since January 1, 2016, serving as CFO in the six months prior to taking over ownership from Austhof family. He has served on the West Michigan chapter of ASA since July 2016 serving as President from July 2018-June 2019. He is also a current board member of the ABC West Michigan chapter and has served in that capacity since January of 2017. Prior to his various roles with Sobie Company, Mr. Vermaas spent fifteen years running a number of service based national and international marketing and advertising firms.

Marni Goodrich is the Business Manager for Yearout Mechanical, LLC. She has 22 years’ experience working in the construction industry in New Mexico. Marni attended the University of New Mexico with a major in Biology and Psychology, but once she discovered construction management she was hooked. Ms. Goodrich served on the Board of Directors for ASA New Mexico for 10 years and served two terms as President for the local chapter.
